There are 2 ways one can book accommodation
on Rhodes: through a tour operator or directly from the hotel owner.
The main tour operators are: Olympic Holidays, My Travel,
First Choice, Cosmos, etc.
However, some hotel owners prefer to offer accommodation,
sometimes substantially cheaper, directly to their clients. The price of a modern
double room or studio (includes basic cooking facilities and fridge), with en suite
(wc and shower or bath), can be as low as 20 euros/£18 per night
(ie £9 per person/per night). As an indication, a 2 week holiday to Faliraki for 2009,
including air-fares, taxes and accommodation can be about £235 per person.
